There’s plenty of fun to be had on Thanksgiving Day with attractions open around the Bay Area. Spend your holiday at the Aquarium of the Bay or Botanical Gardens, both open on Thanksgiving Day and weekend. For some low-key and relaxing fun, take a visit to the Muir Woods or the Golden Gate Bay Cruise.

Bring canned goods to donate, then register at one of the Bay Area’s many Turkey Trot races. San Francisco’s race starts at 8am with 5k and 10k options to take in the views. For a more lighthearted option, head to San Jose’s event, where racers are encouraged to dress up in their goofiest Turkey Day best to participate.
